Red Crucible 2 Talon Review

The Talon is a premium Sniper rifle. It has a high recoil. Visually, the Talon sports a bolt-action firing system and a unique scope.

When the Talon was released in Red Crucible 2, it was considered a very unique gun due to a few things: its high damage, its anti-materiel capabilities, and its scope, which used the picture-in-picture style rather than the blackout type that was more common. Even though it was so unique, it was not hugely successful, since it was hard to use at longer ranges due to the scope twitching.

Upon the release of Red Crucible: Firestorm, the Talon became known as one of the worst sniper rifles in the game: it was no longer an anti-materiel rifle, and could only be used against infantry. In addition, the other stats hadn't changed, which made this gun severely underpowered compared to guns like the M82 Predator and Golden Dragon. Cosmetically, the scope was changed to an SVD-style reticle and the gun was turned light grey.

Later in RCF, though, the model was turned black, the anti-materiel capabilities were restored, and the reticle was changed to a more common mil-dot reticle. However, the stats did not change, and it continues to be one of the worst sniper rifles in the game.
