Maelstrom is a map that takes place in the middle of the ocean. It features two ships, acting as spawn points for the Red and Blue Team, and a oil rig in the middle of the map.The oil rig has a helicopter landing pad and 2 anti-air guns.

Spawn points

The two teams have spawn points situated on the opposite sides of the map. The Red Team spawns in a Kiev-class aircraft carrier, while the US forces spawn in a Wasp class amphibious assault ship.

Infantry only

When playing Infantry only mode, the game takes place in the middle of the map on an oil drilling platform. The arena features vertical gameplay, and enemies around any corner. Players are most likely to get killed from behind in this arena.

Tips and Tactics

• A good strategy is to simply stay at the oil rig and take down enemy helicopters with the AA guns.

Trivia

• Maelstrom is the only arena in which there are helicopters available, but no land vehicles.
