Performance[]

Being a starting weapon, the M16 is well balanced for lower player levels. Its moderate recoil and moderate muzzle flash make it difficult to engage targets at long range, making single-firing or burst firing essential at said range, but the M16 is very accurate at medium and short range, and is more accurate than the AK-74, the weapon is best fired at bursts to enhance it's accuracy and advantage over the AK-74, though spraying can be used in close range combat. If your recoil control is good, a long burst efficiently dispatches any enemy.

Upgraded to tier 12, it can deliver a standard damage of 300+. This gun is very well used by beginners of the game, especially in RCF.

Trivia

  1. The M16 in game aesthetically resembles an M16A2 rifle, which is fielded by the US military in the 1980s to replace the vietnam era M16A1, however, it would be anachronistic since the M16A2 only has three round burst, whereas the in game rifle has full auto.
  2. It can also be an M16A1 rifle but with M16A2 hand guard, flash hider, pistol grip and stock
  3. Another possible real world counterpart is the M16A3, the fully automatic version of the M16A2, designed for security units, seabees and US Navy SEALs, it is more likely this variant.
  4. At higher tiers, firing at a high level vest may produce no damage at all.
